What Is Cellulite?
Cellulite is the typical orange peel appearance on thighs, buttocks and upper arms that affects 80% of women. It has become an increased issue in today's society and thus has a significant impact on the quality of life and joy of living. Skin elasticity decreases with age and enlarged fat cells push the skin up and compress the circulatory system.
This reduces the inflow of nutrients and outflow of waste products and the diminished exchanges in circulation leads to a gradual stiffening of the connective tissue. This push/pull effect creates the appearance of dimpled skin. Without an efficient treatment of cellulite, the orange peel appearance of the skin will occur and can even expand in time. These different stages of cellulite can be determined.
